Dr. Whelan completed her undergraduate studies at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. After spending a year teaching English in Sapporo, Japan, she earned her medical degree at the University of Connecticut and completed her pediatric residency at the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut. Dr. Whelan has been in practice in Ukiah since 1999. Her professional interests include asthma, working with children with disabilities and breastfeeding education. She shares her love of travel, camping, boating and outdoor activities with her husband and her two sons.
