Our Emergency Room is here for everyone in the community, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We take advantage of advances in emergency medicine and technology, which enable our skilled staff to save the lives of victims of even the most devastating illnesses and injuries.

But we face a significant challenge. Our Emergency Department is currently serving three times the number of people it was designed to accommodate when it was built 20 years ago. In addition, a nearby hospital has announced that it will close in 2008, placing even more demand on our staff and facilities.

To continue to provide a full range of services to those who turn to us for care, we need to grow. Plans are underway to remodel and expand our Emergency Department. This expansion is crucial to the good health of the thousands of people we serve, but it is a huge financial undertaking for a mission-driven, not-for-profit hospital.
