Dialysis
UVMC welcomes kidney doctor (nephrologist) Dr. Chris Ives! With
her arrival, the hospital will be able to offer dialysis to our
patients while they are in the hospital. Dialysis is necessary
for patients in kidney failure--whose kidneys do not function
well enough to keep a person's blood clean (kidneys filter
impurities out of the blood). Inpatient dialysis will begin in
Spring 2008.
