Dr. Asha Logan grew up in New York and attended Harvard University as an undergraduate. She had always been fascinated by the intersecting layers of how people become who they are, and so she majored in Anthropology, which focused on the physcial, social, and medical pieces of the human puzzle. By the time she graduated, she knew a career in Medicine would allow her to pursue her interest in putting the pieces together, with the added bonus of healing people at the same time.
Dr. Logan began working as a hospitalist at Ukiah Valley Medical Center in September 2009. She enjoys hospitalist work because, “it’s active. I get to see a wider population, and I work with a team of providers, rather than working alone,” she said. She chose Pacific Redwood Medical Group (which provides Hospitalist care at UVMC) because she likes their focus on goals that are broader than just making a living.
“PRMG is really different from most groups. They put the needs of each other and the community before their own.”
Dr. Logan works to educate and empower her patients so they can take an active part in their own healing.
Dr. Logan attended Harvard University as an undergraduate. In 2002, she graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and completed in Internal Medicine residency at the University of Southern California. Dr. Logan is board certified and practices medicine at UVMC as a hospitalist.
